Doin’ the job and having fun!

 I am three months into a job that I absolutely love. Every time I think about it, I want to pinch myself.

Managing the communications and marketing division of a healthcare organization geared towards professional development for healthcare executives can be a bit challenging at times. But truthfully, I am having a ball. I couldn’t be happier with the way things have turned out. I guess when you’ve been in some of the job situations that I’ve been in you learn to appreciate the small stuff. That is primarily what I’m doing now.

What’s most exciting though, is the chance to assume a leadership role. It is something I am not shy about taking on because I enjoy having a say and contributing to positive outcomes. Yeah, I joke sometimes about looking for ways to disrupt the status quo but that’s what any good leader should be about. If I didn’t believe that I would simply be in the way of change and taking up space.

Next week is a brand new week, a brand new month in a relatively brand new year. Time to compete for the big prize and have fun doing it. That’s a prime recipe for a winning week!
